E-mail is Saving us From Killing Our Bosses
Apparently naughty workers are spending more time fucking the dog every day instead of working.

Can you please put this in the "no shit Sherlock" file for me. Employees would rather do anything but their shitty job, who would have guessed?
That tells me that 1 in 10 people are nothing but horrible liars. The only surprising thing so far is that 100% of the people don't spend 50% of their time fucking around at work.
E-mail is basically the only thing stopping most people from slitting their wrists at work. It's bad enough having to go to a shitty 9 to 5 boring job that you hate, putting up with dickweed bosses, and getting paid an Ethiopian wage. If we didn't surf the net all day, we'd go postal. Can I hear an "Amen" brothers and sisters?

More than a quarter of employees spend an hour or more a day on personal emails when they should be working, it has emerged.
In a business with 100 staff, that amounts to more than 1,200 working days being lost over the course of a year.
Such a firm would have to take on five extra staff to make up for lost productivity.

Overall, 36 per cent said they spent an hour or more a day at work writing or reading personal emails - although the figure for the UK alone was lower at 27 per cent. A further 22 per cent of British staff spent half an hour per day on them while 38 per cent spent 15 minutes.
Only one worker in ten said they never used the company email system for personal reasons.

"Added to other issues such as loss of confidential information, inappropriate email use leads to personal harassment, compliance challenges, spam and viruses.
"Companies need to set the ground rules with employees on web and email usage through clear policies to ensure productivity does not suffer."
