NASA Turns Pee Into Water

NASA has agreed to buy a Russian space toilet that filters urine into drinkable water:

Toilets in space are a big deal. The new one will be similar to the existing toilet (also Russian-built), which has been in orbit since late 2000. That's 1.6 billion kilometres ago, and it's still flushing.

The filtering technology is tried and true, Quine notes. "It's fairly elaborate -- osmotic systems with various layers of charcoal and things to take out things that you don't want to recycle."

First, Jesus turned water into wine, then NASA turned urine into water, hell, if they start turning poo into Snicker's bars, I'm booking a flight to the moon immediately.
