Fenris Badwulf Doesn’t Care Enough

As a valued member of the Canadian writing establishment Fenris Badwulf is without peer. Fenris writes about the issues that Canadians care about; issues like diversity, equality and political correctness. Fenris writes about the plight of homeless raccoon Canadians. Fenris writes about Calgary leather fetishists. Most importantly, Fenris writes about the nutritive value of alternate food sources such as prune mush as your health is so very important to him. With all that he has done for Mitchieville I feel bad being saying that Fenris doesn’t care enough, but I have proof: Fenris Badwulf wasn’t awarded the Order of Canada this week.

Jane Vance Rule has just recived the Order of Canada, our nation’s way of recognizing our finest. Her citation reads:

Ms. Jane Vance Rule has been a powerful force for equality. She broke new ground in Canadian literature as one of the first writers to populate her novels with homosexual as well as heterosexual characters. Her 1964 novel Desert of the Heart, which tells the love story of two women, is considered a masterpiece and was later adapted for film. Her books, described as forthright, complex and imaginative, have been translated into many languages and have earned her literary as well as human rights awards. Generous and caring, she is much loved by other writers and by members of her community.

Let us compare the two writers: Jane is a powerful voice for equality, so is Fenris. Jane’s books are “forthright, complex and imaginative” and so are Fenris’ posts (to say the least). Jane is ‘generous and caring, she is much loved by other writers and by members of her community’. Fenris bought me breakfast once so I know he is generous. Fenris is adored by his fellow bloggers and readers across the Internet. It must be that Fenris does not care enough then.
