Mona Lisa Descending a Staircase was produced by Joan Gratz in 1992. It won an Academy Award for Best Short Animation, and after you watch it you'll see why. It is a two-dimensional clay animation melding and merging of the work of 35 famous artists. I've seen this plenty of times over the last 15 years or so, and I always get a kick out of it.
