Spending Green to Make Some Green
As part of the great money give-away to *help the environment*, Ontario Premier, Dalton McGuinty, has vowed to offer up $650 million to automakers to make greener cars: OSHAWA,
However, if the environment is on its last legs, which it is, that's indisputable, we're told that every day, why offer up only $650 million to create clean cars? We all know that cars are the main contributors to global warming, why not offer up 45 billion dollars? If $650 million is referred to by Dalton as *seed money*, then 45 billion should get us the whole tree. And what is better for the environment, a seed or a tree?
No one cares about the environment as much as I do...and Fenris, of course, he can feel the pain of a tree when you pull a delicate leaf of its branch. I can't understand these cheapo politicians who don't love momma earth as much as I do. If Dalton is correct and the $650 million will one day produce billions of dollars, then following that logic, 45 billion invested should net us somewhere in the range of 100 or 200 billion pretty soon. AND, we have saved the environment.
It's a well known fact that only the government can save the universe from itself AND create jobs, the private sector can go to hell. Dalton McGuinty knows this well, he will one day be a Sensai of the world government dojo, but first he needs to open up his purse and spend a little more cash. NOW

Ont. (CP) - The Ontario government is offering up $650 million in seed money to turn Canadian businesses into green technology world leaders.Proving that Dalton McGuinty has far superior vision than that of GM. Good Job, Dalton, I'm awfully proud of you.
One day in the not-too-distant future there will be a huge market for green cars, clean fuels and clean technologies and making investments now can secure Ontario as the leading innovator, McGuinty said while visiting the General Motors plant in Oshawa.
