Fred Thompson bitch slaps Michael Moore
There was a time back in the mid 1990’s that I thought Michael Moore was the funniest human being alive. His show, TV Nation , poked fun, mocked and lampooned so much that was wrong with modern society. I taped every episode on my VCR for posterity; I still have them in my basement (this was way before YouTube and the internet kids). I have no problems saying this even today – TV Nation was a great show, one of the funniest ever.
Something has happened since then. Like Robin Williams and Jim Carey (and so many other comic greats) Michael Moore started to take himself way too seriously and like those two other comic greats he is rarely funny anymore.
I watched his mocku\documentary Bowling For Columbine still convinced that he was a master of social satire. My opinion of Michael Moore started to change once I heard that the ‘South Park’ bit in Bowling wasn’t done by the creators of that erstwhile show, it wasn’t even authorized by them. Michael Moore used the popularity of South Park to forward his own agenda without regard for his fellow satirists or his fans. Michael Moore wasn’t funny anymore and I never did bother to watch Fahrenheit 9/11.
Watching the video clip below but one can’t help but note that Michael Moore brought this upon himself. Michael Moore was trying to mock and belittle Senator Fred Thompson and Thompson called him on it. Actually it’s rather funny. It’s time for Michael Moore to go back to Flint, Michigan and do whatever it was that he did before ‘Roger and Me’.
