Global Warming--Friend or Foe?
A report of the troposphere data from NASA yields some very scary information:Current temperatures are higher by about .8 degree C, but have been oscillating steadily without increasing or decreasing since that single peak of 1998-1999.One of the influences of global warming to the lower troposphere can be directly attributed to this:
Since 2000, there has been no detectable global warming. Nearly 1/10 century has gone by and temperatures have not changed.
The temperature in this region is more strongly influenced by oceanic activity, particularly the "El Niño" and "La Niña" phenomena, which originate as changes in oceanic and atmospheric circulations in the tropical Pacific Ocean. Can all those new-age *Scientists* be wrong, is the earth not heating up as quickly as first thought?
As David Suzuki said yesterday on the John Oakley show on 640am (shortly before he stormed out of the studio) when asked about the science behind global warming, "I can't believe you're even bringing this nonsense up. For God's sake, the UN report is already out, it's all the proof we need".
Good for David Suzuki, science isn't there to be challenged, it's there to be followed. A fact is only a fact when placed in the right hands.
Over 300 species go extinct every day due to global warming. Can you name one of them?
