The Crippendale's do the Full Monty
Four crippled guys who made a movie in the same light as The Fully Monty, are being praised by leading disability charities:"There is still a long way to go in reducing negativity and myths surrounding sex and disability, but films such as The Crippendale's show societal attitudes are changing for the better.Great name for a group.
I'm glad for the Crippendale's, I really am. But why is it that cripples get to call themselves cripples and make fun of themselves, but non-cripples have to call cripples *handi-capable* because the word cripple is offensive to them? Frankly, I could care less what people want to be called. If they want to be called handi-capable, I'll call them handi-capable. If they want to be called crippled, I'll call them crippled. If they want to be called non-walkables, I'll call them non-walkables. The point is, whatever you call them it doesn't change their lot in life, it might make the PC crowd happy for about 3 seconds, but it won't make poor Timmy walk again. Only a Christmas miracle could do that.
Shake your body...oh, that's not a natural shake?
