MindTrap Friday

If I was to pick just two words to describe last week's MindTrap Friday, I would say it was *absolutely amazing*. If I was forced to pick out just one word from those two words, I would probably pick *absolutely*. Although, when I think about it, who in their right mind would try to force me to pick out one word to describe MindTrap Friday? Do you think you're man/woman enough to force me, The Mayor of the 49th fastest growing community in N.E. Durham Region, Ontario, Canada, North America, to pick out just one word? Well, that's pretty big talk, sunshine. I say bring it on. Let's see whatcha got, tough guy.

There were many MindTrap Friday players last week, I was very impressed with the different answers, whether correct or incorrect, it doesn't matter. What matters is that you tried, and more importantly, it proved to me that I really am the smartest person in Mitchieville. Here are the answers to last week's questions:
1) Betty signals to the headwaiter in a restaurant, and says, "There's a fly in my tea." The waiter says, "No problem, madam. I will bring you a fresh cup of tea." A few minutes later Betty shouts, "Get the manager! This is the same cup of tea!" How did she know?
Answer: Betty had already put sugar in her tea before sending it back. When the "new" cup came, it was already tasted sweet.

The Mad Hitter and Scott, from LNMOP, answered said question correctly.
2) In New York City's Central Park, in the middle of summer, police have discovered the frozen body of a man lying in the centre of a baseball diamond. There are no footprints leading to or away from the body. How did he die, and how did his body get to where it was found?
Answer: A poor peasant wanted desperately to get out of [some undisclosed ethnically removed European country], so he hid himself in the landing-gear assembly of a transAtlantic flight. He died of hypothermia during the trip; his body froze while the plane was in the stratosphere. When the landing gear opened on the plane's approach to Kennedy Airport, his body fell into the park.

Doug, Fergy, Scott, from LNMOP, Donnah, from The Florida Cracker, and l.M, all got this correct. That amazes The Mayor, great job.
3) A horse is tied to a five meter rope in front of an old saloon. Six meters behind the horse is a bale of hay. Without breaking his rope, the horse is able to eat the hay whenever he chooses. How is this possible?
Answer: The rope is not tied to anything else.

The Mad Hitter, Doug, and Donnah, each answered the question correctly.

Which means that we have a four way tie. Scott, Donnah, Doug and the Mad Hitter each answered two questions correctly, making them The MindTrap question answering people of the week (I really have to come up with a better title than that).

Let's get on with this week's Mintrap questions, it's not as if this post isn't long enough as it is.
1) Texas Tom is looking for a cottage set on a beautiful waterfront property. The realtor suggests a new development on the Moscow Sea. He says that the only problem with the property is that it's a little tough to get to right now. But the transportation in the future will make that much easier. What should Tom know?

2) Charles Pompuss was racing around in his new sports car when he noticed that his throat was parched. He came to a screeching halt in front of the 'Soul-Ace Hotel' and the nine police cars which had been chasing him, slammed into the back of his car and each other's. How many bumpers will have been hit?

3) Duncan Drivel had a collection of rare bird calling records which he wished to sell. He sold half of his records plus a half record more to Professor Bumble. Then he sold half of what was left and a half record more to Whislin Willy. At this point Duncan had one record left. How many records did Duncan have originally?
These questions are simply craptastic, I look forward to your answers.

If you would like to join the gang for MindTrap Friday, simply leave your answers in the comment box. All I ask is that you don't look at the others folks answers when you put don't your own bizarre answers. This is what I like to call, the *Honour system*. And I know you are all quite honourable. Except for anyone that resides in Burlington, Ontario.
