Music to Soothe the Beast

If you haven't been over to Garfield Ridge today, you are missing one of the best posts that has been written about music circa 1991-1996. Dave spent a lot of work on this and should be congratulated, not by me of course because then I'd have to send him an email or post a comment on his site, and that just seems like a hell of a lot of work.

I never really liked music between 1991-1996, it wasn't exactly my era, and plus I found most of the music depressing if not just God awful. I grew up in the 80's and listened to punk, you know, the Clash, Stranglers, Nina Hagen, shit like that. I loved punk and New Wave, but I never dressed the part, I just liked the music.

Now I listen to alternative, which is really just bad rock, and I like classical music to. I don't like hip hop, rap, classical jazz, jazz, blues, metal, country and or western, big band, light rock, pop(like Brittany or any of that garbage), salsa, meringue, Latin, or folk. I'm sure I'm missing a few more, but suffice to say I'll most likely hate them.

As I was explaining to a friend yesterday, hate can be very refreshing, and we should all revel in it.
