Tree-Sitters Are Murdering The Environment

Tree sitting activists protesting the University of California's plan to uproot some trees in order to build a sports training center, have come under fire after one (or more) of the tree sitters decided it a good idea to lop off some branches in order to make more room:
AP) BERKELEY Protesters living in a grove of endangered trees could be accused of vandalism after someone lopped off the tops of a redwood and a cedar to make room for a sleeping berth.

The sitters have sleeping pads, bathroom buckets, books, guitars and food, but authorities said Thursday they may have cut the 40-to 50-foot tall trees to give themselves more room. No one has been cited, and authorities are trying to determine who was responsible.

"The trees are permanently damaged. It's not like the top of the tree is going to grow back," said university official Mitch Celaya, who said the tree tops were apparently chopped more than a month ago.
We are told daily by environmentalists that because we use fossil fuels, drive cars and fly in airplanes, we must purchase carbon credits in order to hide our carbon footprint. Along those same lines, since one of the tree sitters irreparably damaged a giant tree and left a massive negative footprint on the world, shouldn't one of the protesters be killed? It's only fair, I'm sure momma earth would agree, someone should die.

Any volunteers? Buehler?
