Dave From Garfield Ridge is Retiring

Dave from Garfield Ridge is retiring. This is sad for The Mayor, as most of you know I'm very fond of Dave. I don't think anyone knows this, but Dave is the reason Mitchieville exists.

I won't get into the heavy details, but before Mitchieville got up and running two and a half years ago, there were two sites The Mayor visited daily, Dave and Ace of Spades. I loved those sites, still do actually, as I say, I went there daily. Truth be told, I may have gone there 5-10 times a day, I thought they were that great.

Dave gave Mitchieville its first 100 hit day. That's funny now that I think about it. There was actually a time when other sites were too embarrassed to link me, something about the content, or this and that. But not Dave, he cared not, he linked me, emailed me, he was, and still is, a very cool guy.

No mushiness, so I'll end with this: Mitchieville is going to miss the blogging stylings of Dave from Garfield Ridge. Dave, you are always welcome to put up a piece on this site if you ever feel the need, mi casa su casa (I'm not Greek, so that translation may be off, but you get the point). Thanks for the many years of great posts, you are a gentleman and a great guy, we're goig to miss the hell out of you.
