Main Stream Media Accurate!
As part of our campaign to prove political correctness is correct, we here are show casing several influential members of the politically correct main stream media. Here, our CBC trained fact checker, ShakaZulu, is giving us a movie review of the smash movie hit, Hostel. And, to prove we are unbiased and believe in full disclosure (more proof of our own rich creamy goodness) I say to you that we paid ShakaZulu to attend the movie and write the review. We gave him two hundred bucks and additional money so he could take three friends along and some cash for drinks and snacks ...
Hostel
Certainly one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. Especially the last half ... it was a laugh a minuite. What a great movie! Originally written as a showcase for Fred McMurray of My Three Sons fame, the script was shelved after that actor converted to Islam and left to live in Yemen in a writers commune in protest over the War in Vietnam.
The sets are gorgeous and the background setting of London Ontario is awesome. I love the Gothic architecture of that city every time I visit my sick auntie who lives there. It was great to see a Canadian movie, like this one, take advantage of the superior production values of our Canadian Film Industry.
I recognized several Canadian actors doing short character parts ... this movie is a great teaser for the fun you can have at Stratford this year. This is a great movie to take a girl to on a first date when you want to make a good impression and give her some insight into your thoughtful, caring personality. Moms and Dads will like it too, for the warm message of family values.
I give this movie five stars!
