Toronto is thinking about giving out crack-pipes to junkies
Always remember, a world class city that has world class problems should have world class solutions.
In order to expand the industry of victimology we will need teachers, facilitators, assistants, specially trained doctors and nurses, go-betweens, on-street personnel, gender identity experts, councilors, more clinics, sexual awareness experts, committees, boards, strategists, mediators, arbitrators, and a budget that should start at....hmmmm, let's just call it an even 30 million.
Since we can all agree that we are defeated, and that trying to stop people from smoking crack and shoving needles into their arms is a useless proposition, we can now move on and take the necessary steps to feeding the drug habit of these poor, unfortunate, oppressed drug addicts.
This is better for everybody. It's better for the police as they will no longer have to concentrate on cleaning up the streets of those that steal for drug money, piss and shit on our streets and cause havoc and despair in residential neighbourhoods. The police will now be able to concentrate on real crimes, like arresting those that call people bad names or make inflammatory comments against peoples from different religions, colours, and races.
This is great for the politicians because now whenever anyone asks what they are doing to help the poor crack-head and the unfortunate heroin user, they can say that they are helping them kick the drug habit by giving them drug paraphernalia(they might want to word that better, this is just a draft).
This is good for the unemployed and unemployable because now we have a new industry that will have to be fed government jobs. And one thing that all Canadians can agree on is that there aren't enough people working for the government.
This is a victory for political correctness. I'm sure there are a few nay-sayers that think we shouldn't help those that piss and shit in our streets, that steal from civilians to feed their drug habits, or litter our sidewalks with their smelly, infected carcasses. That's okay, we can always shout down their dissent.
Some folks believe that we shouldn't be feeding people's drug habits, that crack-heads and heroin users should be rounded up and forced into rehab. Forgive them Lord, for they know not of what they speak. Smarter people with diplomas on their walls are the only people that can make critical decisions that affect the lives of an entire city. They care.
Some people might be a tad bit upset that their hard earned taxpayer dollars are going to supply drug users with paraphernalia. That's okay too, to them we can simply say "fuck you".
Canada is a good country, and I won't tolerate you saying otherwise.

TORONTO (CP) - Toronto could become the next big Canadian city to give out free drug paraphernalia and designate legal drug-use zones if city council decides to pass recommendations in a new report.
The controversial measures are among 66 recommendations in a drug strategy report that was 18 months in the making and based on four components: prevention, harm reduction, treatment and enforcement.
"We know people are going to use (drugs). We would like to be able to make sure that if we can't get them to stop using, we're going to want them to learn safer behaviours about using," Rae said. This is exactly what Toronto needs, we need to expand the industry of victimology.
