Man wants to be buried in the nude, family says "eff you"
I have mixed feelings about this story.
I'm not sure what the legalities are, but I'm nearly sure public nakedness isn't a constitutional right. However, the old guy was parading around naked on his own property, so that should count for something. You should be able to do nearly anything you want on your own property...the operative word being *nearly*.
Why is it that it's only the old and ugly that enjoy public nudity so much, and not women that look like Jessica Alba?
While no-one with semi-decent vision wants to see the old and ugly naked, not even other old and ugly people, it seems it's going overboard arresting them and throwing them in jail. You should have the right to be naked on your own property, as long as you're not doing disgusting things with your goodie package where people can openly see you. You have to have some sense of decency.
Ewwwww, bad visual alert. Did the article say this guy was into nude gardening? OMG, think about all the squating for a minute. I take everything back, hang the guy.
The naked truth can be found right about here.
Robert Norton, of Pekin, Illinois, was often prosecuted during his lifetime for gardening and wandering outside his house in the nude.He was prosecuted for gardening?
The 82-year-old said he wanted to be buried in his birthday suit - but his family are having none of it.
His brothers have decided to lay him to rest in grey trousers and a shirt.
One of them, Jack, is a minister. "He's not going to be buried in the nude," he said.
Brenda Loete said she never spoke to Norton despite living next door to him for more than a decade. What a bitch. She couldn't have built a tall fence? No, she preferred to send a 70 something old man (at the time), to jail, for months on end. No doubt that she'll rot in hell, God hates rats and bitches. I know, he told me that yesterday.
"We didn't really know him. We just had him arrested," she said.
She had spent years taking her daughter to the park rather than letting her play in the garden because of the naked old man next door, she said.
"Normally, if we had him arrested in the spring he'd be gone for the summer and we wouldn't have to worry about him until the next spring."
He fought 20 arrests for indecency since his first in 1962, arguing that he had a constitutional right to public nakedness, the Associated Press reported.Does anyone else get the impression that the family of the dead guy are really embarrassed by him? They almost seem that they're happy he's dead or something, they are very un-supportive.
His family said they hoped his burial would lay years of controversy to rest.
