Make Friday All About ME
I was just about to go into the kitchen to make myself a rack of lamb, when I thought of an idea that I know will reap giant benefits for all bloggers who decide to participate in my little idea.
A while ago I was linked to Dave from Garfield Ridge (there's a reason I didn't just link him here) and my hits went from an average of about 3 a day to a whopping 7 or 8. It was pure magic, I was the King of the world. I need to have that rush back, so here is what I propose to all my blogger friends and enemies out there. I want to make this Friday, April 8 "The Mayor Day". If you link me on your site in a post I will link you back. But wait, there's more.
Seeing as how everyone gets a billion times more hits than me, I will not only link you back, but I will link you back in spades. For instance, I get on average 80 hits a day, if you get 800 hits a day I will link you in a post 10 times. If you get 160 hits a day I will link you 2 times, if you get less hits than me I will still give you one fresh, wholesome link. If you receive 800,000 hits a day, I will link you 8000 times in a post. See where I'm going with this? It's pure, unadulterated magic.
There is one catch however. When you link me in your one solitary post, somewhere in your post you have to use the word scrumpdillyicious. I define scrumpdillyicious as something which has a heavenly taste, something so out of this world the flavour will always be on your lips. It's quite a beautiful word which isn't utilized enough by the blogging community if you ask me, we need to get this word out into the general public.
That's what I have planned. If you would like to participate, drop a comment in my box and tell me how many hits you get a day so I can properly prepare myself. All bloggers who participate will receive a post to themselves. That's right, a brand spanking new post that they can call their own and suitable for framing.
I understand that not every day can be The Mayor's day, but for the sake of little Jimmy, the crippled boy, let's make this Friday all about me, and only me. Then it can be about you, you egotistical maniacs.
