Linds Had Her Baby!

Mitchieville's Minister of Culture & Arts, Linds, gave birth to a beautiful baby boy yesterday. Jacob John Nicholas was born a healthy 9lb 8oz and a whopping 53.5cm in length. To you non-metric peoples, that's approx. 4'3". Yup, we shore do breedum big in Canada!

Congratulations Linds and Cliff, you have a lovely child and we wish you and your new baby the best of health and happiness forever and a day. Now, baby, get in my belly!

And now that Linds has given birth, we can review who the winner was of the Linds is Having a Baby contest. If you remember correctly, which I do, mostly because I don't sniff glue like some Mitchievillian's, the person who was closest to the birth date without going over would win a fantastic Mitchievillian shirt. Let me have a boo at who was closest: Son of a bitch, it was me.

That's right, The Mayor of Mitchieville guessed June 29 and the baby popped out on the 30th. That's great news. For me. I can't wait to give myself a Mitchieville t-shirt. I just know I will look so adorable in it.

I also promised that the person who guessed the closest to Jake's weight would win a small bottle of maple syrup. Let's have a boo who that was: That would be Mugs who guessed 9lb 8oz. A perfect guess.

What a happy day! I really should send Linds and Jake a little sumtin' sumptin', but I know Linds is very proud and would never accept any gift I would send. Mugs and Chris Taylor could learn a thing or two from Linds.
