Mitchieville Is #4

As most of you are well aware, Mitchieville was nominated for the Best Humour Blog in Canada recently. We came in fourth.

I tried keeping it a secret, I tried to bury the results, but a super-sleuth that goes by the name of dmorris just wouldn't let it go. I'll be frank here, dmorris was relentless in his pursuit of the truth. He searched high and low for answers, there wasn't anywhere on the internets that was safe from his detective work. Dmorris was like any given member of the Scooby Doo team, except for Thelma, after all, dmorris isn't a little bitch.

I would be remiss in I didn't Congratulate the eventual winner, Raymi the Minx. The second place went to Mike's Blogity Blob Blog, the third to The Nag on the Lake, and fifth place belonged to some other blog that I don't have the address for.

I'll be perfectly honest with you, this contest completely gutted me. Coming in fourth in the Canadian Best Humour Awards is like coming in last in the Mentally Challenged Relay Race. Well, technically it's like coming in second to last. Either way, it's crap on a stick.

Before you read any further, I'd like you to have a boo at the websites that beat Mitchieville for best humour. Go to these places and take in their collective humour in all its glory. Careful though, the sites are so funny that you might get a one-way ticket to the hospital with split sides.

Some of you may be thinking that my attitude on this is nothing but sour grapes. You're right, it probably is. I just thought that we should have done a lot better than fourth, especially considering the overall quality of this blog compared to every other blog out there.

Anyway, today is a new day and maybe if I really want to improve Mitchieville's station, I'll start putting more photos of Fenris and I in designer shorts and tell funny stories about how a waiter brought me salsa when I asked for cream cheese. See, that's the funny shit that wins contests. That's obviously the stuff champions are made of.

Ya, I know I sound like a suck. But seriously, what the fuck?!!
