Many Americans Too Poor To Eat Properly--But Have enough $$$ For Pot

A new study out today finds that poor Americans aren't eating well. Among the reasons, include: the price of vegetables, health awareness, and a lack of grocery stores in poor neighbourhoods--
The other study was conducted in Orangeburg County, S.C., a rural county with a population of more than 91,000, 63 percent of whom are minority.

Some 20 percent of Americans live in rural areas but the "nutritional environment" of these areas remains under-explored, Liese's team said.

The researchers identified 77 stores in the county in 2004, of which only 16 percent were supermarkets and 10 percent were grocery stores. The remaining 74 percent were convenience stores.
Compared to meat, vegetables are a bargain, so I don't buy that excuse. Plus, if you really want fresh vegetables, grow them, you don't have to be rich to grow carrots. As for health awareness, if you don't know what is good and bad for you, and you are an adult, maybe it's best that nature does its part and just kills you.

And as for there not being enough grocery stores in poor areas? Do poor people not have footwear?

Let me just come right out and say this: Poor people are fucking lazy. The reason why poor people eat badly is because they are lazy fucks. In their minds, it's easier to go to McPukes and grab some garbage than it is to drive, or take a bus, or, --heaven forbid, walk--to a grocery store and pick up something nutritious.

These poor people still manage to get food from somewhere, they still have to walk to the 7/11, what's the big deal with walking another 20 minutes, it's not like they have a job to go to or anything. Make hunting vegetables their job, pay them for every bean sprout they find, or every corn niblet they bring back to their kids.

I don't have much pity left for poor people. I don't care what poverty pimps are preaching nowadays, this is 2007 and people are swimming in money. Personally, I light my cigars with $20 bills. Poor people are coddled beyond belief, and we all know why: Without them, the poverty industry wouldn't get taxpayer money, and then those activist doucheclamps would have to get a job like regular folk.

If you're poor but are trying hard and making good choices, this post obviously isn't about you. It's about the slugs.

Don't pity the poor, pity yourself, you're the ones paying them to leech off you. As for me? I don't pay taxes, so I feel nothing inside. I have a cold heart.
