Dead Dog Art

In the name of creative license, *Artist* Guillermo Habacuc Vargas from Costa Rica, paid five children a few dollars each to find a starving dog in Managua, bring it to a Gallery where he was showcasing his art, just to let the dog die.
I'm not fluent in Spanish, but what I take from the website where I saw this, Vargas said the dog was dying and refused to eat when the kids brought it to the gallery. The dog died the next day.
All that stood for the rest of the show was a cable and a cord (leach?).
Vargas' defence for this reprehensible act is that he says the dog died in *natural surroundings* and that the object of his act was to prove that dogs die sooner or later or that eventually people kill them (I may be off on my translation of the last part, but I think I'm right).
I have no comment on this, the *art* pretty much speaks for itself.
