Alchemy for investors, part 12

The opposition is the most important aspect for investors. The illustration above demonstrates a method of using the tarot to study, in this case, a Sun-Moon opposition.
Oppositions to the Sun. These always show a challenge to the life force. A wise person will choose life over whatever is offered by the sign-house-planet that stands in opposition. Otherwise, they will die. If the native accepts the outcome offered by The Sun, he also will access such things as gold, enduring fame, recognition, and the admiration of the powerful.
The most interesting oppositions to the Sun come from the Moon. The Moon also has some claim to the life force, and is stronger in someone born at night, someone born under the sign of Cancer, or someone with their Sun in the fourth house. If the person chooses the Moon over the Sun, they are exchanging health for fame, gold for silver, the infinite for the finite. There is no easy way to interpret this particular aspect; a study of the houses and signs involved, and the houses ruled by the Sun and Moon is necessary.
Oppositions to the Moon. These invariably involve the public in some way. Riches involved are smaller than in the case of The Sun, being silver rather than gold, but transitory fame can occur. In a negative scenario, madness and victimization by mobs and savage animals is indicated. Rabid animals inevitably attack people marked by a difficult opposition to the Moon.
For you to contemplate the nature of an opposition in your own chart, construct it as follows. Select the two trumps that represent the two planets that form the opposition. Between the two, place the trump Justice. This trump does a good job of symbolizing the nature of the opposition.
In preparation for your study, I suggest you add the following elements to your study. For lack of a better word, I shall call it a ritual.
Set aside a place where you will do your ritual. Keep it clean and decorate it with objects that you find positive to your frame of mind.
Establish a routine. Initiate your ritual with a pleasant scent, such as incense. Assume an air of spirituality by lighting candles. Have a glass of water handy to slake your thirst, and keep at least one curio of gold, silver, or lead in sight. Effectively, you are using amulets for the four elements: incense = air, water = water, candles = fire, and curios = earth. These objects are just messages to your subconscious.
Keep pencil and paper handy for thoughts that might come into your mind. Keep distractions at bay: pull the telephone out of the wall, turn off the door bell, and shut the cat in the bathroom with a bowl of food.
Verbal prayers take the form of Giving Thanks, Iteration of Past Events, and then Requests.
Close your ritual when you feel content and that you cannot gain more.
Take note of any interruptions. These too are messages and can provide clues as to who or what is attempting to communicate with you.
