Alchemy for Investors, part 12
Having explored some of the basics necessary for the successful investor, it is time to pass from the ranks of the novices, into the first degree. Our first study will be an investigation of your own natal chart. Place it before you and take note of all the planets that form the aspect of opposition. For an investor, these are the most important aspects. When you have an understanding of your own personality, you can build upon this. Here, we amass wealth.
An opposition indicates a choice. One may choose one, or the other of the scenarios detailed by the opposing planets. There is no exception. These planets describe a situation by their nature, sign, house, and house rulership. Given the broad footprint of these two planets, something is bound to splash over into the eight house (which is symbolized by the Tarot trump Death), or the tenth house (which is symbolized by the Tarot trump The Devil). Even in the absence of a direct relationship to these houses (be it the absence of Saturn, Mars, Pluto in the opposition; the planets in opposition not ruling the eighth nor tenth house; planets not resident in Capricorn nor Scorpio) there will still be transits from the planets that do rule over them.
Transits by trine across a natal opposition indicate money making opportunities. The best ones involve the natural rulers of the eight and tenth houses (Mars, Pluto, and Saturn), the chart rulers of these houses (whatever planet rules the sign on the cusp of the eight and tenth house), or the movement of the benefics (Jupiter and Venus), or the movement of the Lights (Sun and Moon), and even that of Mercury, Neptune, or Uranus.
Understanding of the timing and the nature of these transits will give you a background to your investing plans. Jupiter, for example, gives luck. Venus gives desire and appreciation of beauty. Mars gives physical and intellectual conflict and conquest. Saturn gives delay, and the fruits of patience. The Sun will give you a lottery winning ... public fame and a handful of diamonds. The Moon brings silver and success in public places. Mercury gives intellectual riches or advantage that can be used later. Transits have three natures: approaching, direct, and retrograde. Your horoscope must be considered on an individual basis. Here, generalities can lead the aspirant astray. Lack of self-understanding can trick the investor into committing the same mistakes, over and over again. Just as the two figures in the both trumps have come to a sticky end.
In our next lesson, I will show you how to use two tarot decks to construct your natal chart and the applying transits. Be prepared.
