Resistance to Propaganda

Telemarketers, the wage slaves on the rowing benches of the phone sales industry, live in a world of fear. Every shift their jobs are on the line. Sales quotas are the benchmark of survival. It is logical to assume that the front line telemarketer will succumb to the motivations of fear and lie and cheat. Based on empirical observation, I know this is true.

If you can accept the fact that telemarketers will scam you to save their jobs, you can also accept the concept that people (other than telemarketers) will act in a dishonest way to save their jobs. This expands to the concept of featherbedding (*). Some people will act to expand their position, seeking wages and benefits.

Let us look at the class of people who have the weak moral fibre sufficient to indulge in featherbedding. These people are predators. They have experience in treachery. They will use the methods that work to put your money in their pocket. One of the traits the predators look for in their victims is weak logical reasoning skills. That is to say, predators prey upon the Stupid and the Ignorant. And, predators look to easy prey, as the Wolf prefers the one-bite snack that is the rabbit to the porcupine, so to do predators look for the easy and fat opportunity.

In general, predators exploit, seek out fresh victims to exploit, and suppress the enlightment of their victims. They eat, they look for food, and they manipulate the system to their advantage. Predators misuse logic to feed themselves; predators undermine logical thinking.

Predators exploit propaganda. Where you see propaganda, look for the predator. Look closely at the Stupid and Ignorant, you will see that they are marked for the eating. If you cannot accept the fact that there exists welfare fraud, immigration abuses, and other socialist telemarketing scams, then you should go back to rubbing mayonaise on your bathing suit before you go swimming with the crocodiles.
