Conrad Black is a victim of American injustice
As you read this (if you are reading this around the time I wrote it, not in the distant future) Conrad Black is sitting in his home, surrounded by people who love him. Conrad Black is unhappy. All his billions are dust tonight. Conrad Black is afraid, afraid of a juries verdict that just might send him to prison. His loving, beautiful and dangerously witty wife, is moved to prayer for his well being because she loves her husband. His children cannot taste food or enjoy sex, because of concern for their Dad.
Conrad Black is innocent. The charges against him are the opportunistic propaganda of a political opportunist district attorney looking for votes. Disgusting, and so slimy, so American.
The witnesses against Conrad Black are discredited. A liar is a liar, and this lowlife American lawyer wants to use a liars word to smear a Canadian. This may get votes out in the inbred belt, those lesser creatures that envy those that walk upright, but that does not make it right. It is wrong. Conrad Black is innocent. Conrad Black should never have been charged.
Conrad Black is a victim of the lynch mob. There is no justice in America. Sure, the law applies to everyone in America. Just ask King George or his Successors. But that law is not applied very well, now is it. While many consider Conrad to be a meanie capitalist bloodsucker, the fact is being a meanie capitalist bloodsucker is not a crime. Conrad's crime is to be Canadian.
Does Conrad Black have any 'power' right now? Is he wallowing in invisible white privilege? No. Right now he sits on his sofa, sips single malt, listens to people who use gerund phrases in sentences correctly, and yet in his heart he feels unhappy. That is not a man of power, but a man of the people. How would you feel on the night before the jury decides your fate? Think about it. Conrad deserves to be accomodated and appeased, like every other diseased illegal immigrant who sneaks into Toronto.
Whatever Conrad Black did to you might not have been nice, but it was legal. Conrad is a sharp cookie who has a gift for reading financial statements. He is not a Jane-Finch G-boi. If Conrad wanted to take all you had, he would do it in daylight, using a piece of paper as a sword, wearing a nice suit. Sending him down the river for something he did not do is unworthy, and hypocritical. America, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
