The Stanley Cup Conference Finals
We're down to the final four for the Stanley Cup, and I'm sure most of you are pretty ecstatic about that because it means this there is only one more Stanley Cup segment before hockey draws to a close. Thanks, killjoys, I'll remember that. There were some great and not so great picks last round. Mac was 3 for 4. He picked Ottawa in 7 (they won in 6), Rangers in 7 (they lost in 6), Detroit in 6 (correct), and he ended up picking the Ducks in 6 (Ducks in 5) after he watched the first game where Vancouver got the living crap beat out of them.
Fenris was 3/4, guessing correctly with Ottawa, Detroit and Buffalo. And for a guy that really isn't the biggest hockey fan in the world, that's not too damn bad.
Reg, oh Reg, oh Reg, oh Reg, oh Reg...what the heck have you done, my son? Since Haloscan just went down right in front of my eyes, I'm not actually sure how you did, but I remember you didn't do very well. I'll have to catch up to you on that later.
As for me? 75%. The only one I lost out on was San Jose/Detroit. Who would have thought those little Detroiters would pull it off. Praise be to Allah. My correct picks were impressive because I predicted the games this way: Buffalo in 6, Ottawa in 6, and Anaheim in 5. and that, my friends, is exactly how it worked out.
As for the Conference Finals? Ottawa vs Buffalo--Ottawa has owned Barfalo all year. They have stomped on them and beat them like red-headed step-children. They were all over them like a vampire on a used Kotex. Therefore, I take Barfalo in 6.
Detoilet/Anaheim--Simple, Anaheim in 6.
Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
Fergy predicted exactly the same as I. Ottawa and the Ducks in 6.
How about you, care to put your name to your predictions, tough guy/girl. Do you think you know how to predict hockey games, or all you all talk and no action? What about you, newly commenting Chris guy? Or what about this JDN character? Want to try to knock The Mayor of his most-comfortable perch?
Ya, I thought not.
