RU-486 doesn't even have a warning label on their product stating what the side effects of the drug are. I'll tell you though, the side effects, other than death, include: painful contractions, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, pelvic pain and spasms, dizziness and headaches. Of course the trauma of potentially seeing your dead baby is also a possibility.
If I remember correctly, and I do remember correctly, Bill Clinton overturned the ban, and Donald Shalala asked the French company that Manufactures RU-486, Roussel-Uclaf, to hand the patent over, for free, to the Population Council, a pro-abortion group. In their campaign to promote RU-486, pro-abortion activists claimed that RU-486 made abortion "easier", "safer", and "more private".

Admitting that death may be a *side effect* of their product would cause the Company's stock to plummet, therefore, it would be industrial suicide to admit negligence.
In January, Concerned Women for America (CWA) posted on its Web site public documents revealing approximately 600 serious complications suffered by women who used the abortion drug RU-486. "While not all adverse events are reported, these reports confirm three deaths caused by RU-486. "Healthy women who take RU-486 can end up with life-threatening, even fatal, complications. Reports show case upon case of women being rushed to hospital emergency rooms after taking RU-486," she said.The other day I was trying to explain to my children what the definition of irony is....
