Less Buskers, More Penitents
Are you not bored with the entertainments given by those scruffy street Buskers?
Having recently watched the classic anti-Christian film 'The Seventh Seal', I say: I find that watching penitents is more entertaining than watching buskers. The sound of flesh being whipped, wails of sinners suffering, and the pleasant smell of incense, is music to my soul. It just makes you want to laugh. Whish! Crack! Howl of Pain! It is cotton candy for the soul, sharing in the experience of a procession of penitients.
This summer, when vacationing in Ontario, support the revival of the penitent movement around the time of the Black Death. What better way to educate the minds of the people as to the dangers of Popery, than this? Our school children should share in an Ontario wide education curricula approved by the Orange Order. Who could argue with that?
