Sex-Change Inmate Demanding Sex-Change Treatments

Robert Kosilek was sentenced to life in prison in the 1990 murder of his wife. Kosilek said the slaying was self-defense after she poured boiling tea on his genitals. Ouch. While in prison, Robert sued to have a sex change. The Judge ordered that Robert be given hormone treatment, but stopped short of ordering sex-reassignment surgery.

Fast forward to the present. La dee dee, la dee daa, Robert changed him name to Michelle and things were going merrily, until Michelle noticed that she was becoming more masculine every day--this happened because she has not been allowed to have court-approved hair-removal treatment or access to a specialist to discuss her testosterone levels.

So, Michelle has gone back to court to sue the State, demanding that she is allowed to finish her treatments.

Have a gander at the pain and trauma wee Michelle is going through:

"My breasts have shrunk, genitals have regained previous size and function, facial hair is thicker and scalp hair is thinner, all related to an elevated testosterone level," Kosilek said in a handwritten letter submitted to the court recently.

Prison officials say she is receiving treatments and Michelle is claiming that she isn't being allowed treatments, which makes for a he said she/he said scenario.

My question in all this is: Why is Geddy Lee being held in a Boston prison?
