Charlize Theron Is Just Like Us
Speaking about her visit to Turkey, and its capital, Budapest (??), Charlize Theron described her visit to a Turkish bazaar:In one sighting, a tipster from A Socialite's Life observed Charlize throwing down $380,000 on silk and traditional Turkish rugs at Istanbul's historical Grand Bazaar.I know exactly what Charlize means. I, too, like to keep a low profile when backpacking. I'm so full of culture, you'd have a hard time picking me out from any given civilian population when I'm backpacking. Like when I visited the capital of Scotland a few years ago, Agra, and bought the Taj Mahal. Well, actually, I got one of my assistants to buy it, the assistant who had the chequebook in his backpack. I don't actually wear a backpack, it clashes with my Hugo Boss shorts and Dolce shirt. The Taj cost me a $50 billion, but it was worth every rupee.
"When we travel, it's like backpacking," she said of her desire to keep a low profile. "We don't stay in fancy hotels. We like to go and be part of the culture."
Man, me and Charlize, it would take three of a kind to beat a pair like us.
