British Rent-A-Cops Left Cowering By 13 Year Old
According to the North Yorkshire Police website, Police Community Support Officers:Are police authority employed support staff who can perform a high visibility, patrolling role providing reassurance to the communities they serve.Sounds impressive.
They complement the work of police officers by focusing predominantly on lower level crime, disorder and anti social behaviour. They are an important weapon in the force's drive to crack down on the types of anti-social behaviour and nuisance which so blight communities and make people's lives a misery.
And so does this story about two PCSO's who were *providing reassurance to the community they serve*--
A 13-YEAR-OLD schoolboy had two community support officers cowering in a locked room as they called for back-up.I suppose one big advantage of having PCSO's, is that no one will ever charge them with police brutality.
The officers were confronted by the youngster after being called to a referral centre in Plymouth at 2pm yesterday.
On their arrival the boy became threatening and abusive, prompting them to call for back-up and lock themselves in a room.
I suppose the method that I use to tame an unruly child doesn't work for everyone. Not everyone has the fortitude to backhand a teenager into submission. Not everyone has the guts to give a volley of lefts and rights to a spoiled child's face. I suppose not everyone feels right about smacking sense back into a child's stupid head. I guess that if cowering, hiding, crying, and whining like a terrifed bitch makes a child buck up and fly straight, then this model of discipline should be used from now on.
But not by me. I'll stick with my proven method, it seems to work best.
I miss the old Britain
