The Mayor's Linkie Love

As a little treat, my friend and I decided to go out for lunch yesterday to a burger joint called Licks. I'm not sure if Licks has reached America yet, or if it has even gone west or east of Ontario. If you're not familiar with Lick's, it's kind of like a gourmet burger place, except it isn't fancy, just a decent burger.

Previously, I hadn't been to Lick's in about 2 years. Nothing personal, there just aren't that many around and I don't like to travel far for fast food. Anyway, I go there and order a burger combo, meaning, a burger, fries and a Coke. The counter girl asks if I want cheese on my burger. Sure, cheese that bad boy up. I then asked for an upsize for my Coke. No problem, upsize it is. Okay, that will be $9.48.

What? There must be some mistake? Yes sir, there is, you ordered a large Coke, that'll be $11.56.

I kid you not. This place charges $3.00 for a fountain Coke and $1.50 for some shitty cheese. Nearly 12 bones for a burger, fries and Coke. I truly felt gutted when I handed over the money to cashier girl. Plus, the fries are actually kind of crap. I ate my meal in silence, stewing in my own juices. Lick's, you are dead to me.
