An End Of The Year Message From The Mayor
So, how did 2007 treat you? Did you make it out with all your fingers and toes intact? Are you still working and making a living? Does your family still love and adore you? I think that 97.3% of you answered yes to all three of those questions. And that's a great thing, cuz let's face it, 2007 kicked ass. However, 2008 is going to be even greater.
From all of us at Mitchieville, we would like to thank all of our fine readership for gracing these pages, and we wish all of you the best for 2008. As the old Irish saying goes:
"May you always have walls for the winds,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your heart might desire."
A big thanks goes out to all the commenter's of Mitchieville. There are far too many to personally thank, but you all you know who you are, and I read every one of your comments and laugh and cry and often spit on my monitor after reading your nonsense.
I'd also like to thank all the Mitchievillian contributors for all their hard work and dedication throughout 2007. You folks are nothing short of terrific and I am truly grateful to be associated with the likes of you.
On a personal note, I got to hang out with The Fog, Reg and Fenris a few times in 2007, and I can say without hesitation that you will not meet better/beautiful people than those folks. Every last one of those guys/girls are smart, funny, compassionate, great people that I would go to the wall for in a second. It has been my pleasure forging wonderful friendships with those folks and I hope to continue forging even deeper friendships with them in 2008.
Son of a bitch, I'm crying like Rosie O'Donnell after misplacing a Snickers bar. Hehe, you didn't think I could end 2007 without throwing a jab at that rotten bitch, did you?
Anyway, all the best, I love you all, and here's to 2008!
*TLDG and I are hanging in tonight, we'd love to hear from you.
**Darcey's 2008 best wishes!
