AP Is Pretty Much The Worst

The number of Iraqis killed last month fell to 718, an Associated Press tally showed, the lowest monthly death toll since just before the 2006 bombing of a Shiite shrine provoked a vicious cycle of retaliatory sectarian violence.Who the fuck is this guy? I'll tell you--he's nobody. He's some mouthy geek who isn't even in Iraq and hasn't been there for years. He's a professor and has as much credence to comment on Iraq as Chuck, the guy who cleans City Halls toilets on a daily basis.
"We've gone from horrific levels of murder to very bad, which is an improvement but not a reason to celebrate," said Richard Garfield, a professor at New York's Columbia University and a manager of health and nutrition for the World Health Organization.
"At these so-called low levels, there's a massive number of excess deaths still likely to occur."
Here's another gem:
Garfield, the Columbia University expert, expressed concern that the recent reports of the decline in violence could tempt people to ignore the fact that the numbers are still high amid rising public criticism of the war.*Expert?* Please.
Notice how the *expert* throws in the line, "to ignore the fact that the numbers are still high amid rising public criticism of the war". If this *expert* knew anything, other than how to eat with a spork, he would know that there is no rising public criticism to the war. Those people who have made up their mind to abandon the troops and America (including the *expert* Garfield) have done so from the start. Those patriots that support the troops and love America haven't changed their mind either.
Put it this way: Think back to the beginning of the war and even to six months ago. Remember how the press was butchering Bush over the war, how we were in a quagmire, how the surge wasn't working, how we have lost all hope...ect ect ect? What do you hear from the press now? Cricket...cricket...cricket. That's right, there is no *Rising public criticism*, as a matter of fact, it's the opposite. People are openly admitting America is winning, that the surge worked.
The only rising public criticism is in the mind of the reporter and this socialist, lying scumbag Garfield. America has won, suck on it, Garfield.
