The First & Second Day Of Advent

Advent is upon us and The Little Danish Girl and I are already a few presents into it. If you are not familiar with Advent, or if you are not a Christian, it's okay, I won't slay you because of your ignorance or your lack of Christian faith. That's not what Christian love is all about. Advent, or "the coming of Christ our saviour", is the period of waiting and preparation for Christmas.
TLDG and I exchange a gift a day on rotating days, meaning, I get her a gift and the next day she gets me one, ect. Yesterday, I got TLDG this Advent calendar (which was placed under the regular Advent calendar--that can be looked at as funny in a way). Most of you have probably seen these calendars before, each day you open a little door on the calendar and there is a piece of chocolate inside in the shape of something from the Christmas season. So far TLDG has gotten a chocolate train and a poinsettia. The train represents Christmas presents, or the greed of children, I suppose.
Today, TLDG got me black dress socks. This is a good Advent gift because, as a man, you can never have enough socks. Go have a look in your sock drawer, you'll see what I mean. I bet you that 75% of your socks either have holes in them, or they're frayed, or they're so dirty that even concentrated laundry soap can't get the stains out. Your socks are disgusting, and I know you are very jealous of me right now.
I got TLDG some Junior Mints. At least that's what you think they are, but when opened, you will see that it is really Junior Mint lip balm. You see, TLDG loves chocolate mint, and I love kissing her, so, this is a good gift for both of us. In hindsight, I should have gotten her chocolate mint underwear.
