A Picture Board Is Worth a Thousand Words

My brotha from a different baby momma, The Minister of the Environment, sent me an interesting article from CNN today. It seems that picture boards have become quite a big hit in American hospitals, seeing as though more and more Americans don't speak English, this makes sense to me:
The large, double-sided panels let patients point to icons showing their problem -- such as pain, a burn, breathing trouble or a fall -- as well as the part of the body that is affected. They also can point to their native language in a list so an appropriate interpreter can be located.
That's great, now there is even less of a reason to speak English. Wonderful.

Picture boards are an easy way to communicate with doctors to tell them exactly what is wrong. For instance, if you had a picture of a dripping penis, a $50 bill and Courtney Love, that would tell the doctor that you have obtained venereal disease from a stinkin' whore.

Another popular one is a picture of a Taco Bell, a Texas Ranger, a broken leg, a clown, a mule, a pale heteronormative being rammed up the pooper and a bag of money--This tells the doctor that the person is an immigrant who was making a run for the border while being chased by a border guard, broke his leg while running, now he's in your country, laughing his ass off at your lax border controls, so fuck you whitey and give me welfare.

Yes, those picture boards are very effective, indeed.
