Abilityism is Double Plus Ungood

As Minister of Re-education, I am taking this opportunity to denouce Abilityism.

What is Abilityism? Abilityism is the non-politically correct belief that ability is somehow important in employment, hiring, and education. Diversity is a more important goal than ability in these matters.

I am moved to write this because of criticisms of the 10.6 percent hiring quota being implemented in certain progressive American administrations. The most common argument against this quota is that there are not enough qualified candidates. Like, who cares? It is better that you see a rainbow of diversity when you walk into a government office than the people are competent. This is racism when you want your government to be competent. So, stop thinking that way, and stop wanting your tax dollars to pay for some elitists whose only claim to a paycheque is that they are able to do the job.

We can only hope that the 10.6 percent rule is extended to the private sector. This will shift the burden of the socialist welfare state from the government to the tax payer, where it belongs. Do not forget that the heternormative white racist scum are over represented in most every working profession, trade, and guild. It is time that the blessings of diversity are forced upon the majority, and the welfare rolls emptied so that more funds can be spent on progressive causes and arts programmes.

Next time someone utters some racist platitude about 'you need ability to do this job', just scream and spit in their face. Only this way will we have world peace and be able to listen to every voice of the Village Peoples of Diversity.
