Ted Kennedy Diagnosed With Brain Tumour

Senator Ted Kennedy has been diagnosed with a brain tumour:
Doctors for the eight-term Massachusetts Democrat said Tuesday that preliminary biopsy results showed a malignant glioma in the left parietal lobe.

They discovered it during tests after Kennedy, 76, was airlifted Saturday to Boston following a seizure at his Cape Cod home.

About half of the patients diagnosed in the United States with glioma die within 18 months.
Although the prognosis isn't good, a tumour is not a death sentence, it can be beaten. My prayers go out to Ted Kennedy and his family.

The doctors aren't sure what the next step is right now, they will only say they will drive off that bridge when they come to it. For now though, we should remember Ted for all his accomplishments and the way he was.

For instance, as most of you know, Ted Kennedy was quite the ladies man, although you wouldn't know it, after all, it took him 9 hours to open Mary Jo Kopechne's door. Other than that though, what a stand-up model human being this unit is/was.

I'll leave you with a poem that describes Ted Kennedy's life, I trust you will enjoy it:
There was a young senator from Mass,
who wanted a fine piece of ass.
He lucked up and found one,
fucked up and drowned one,
and now his future is in the past.
Get well, Senator, you'll be up and killing in no time, I'm sure.

Mary Jo Kopechne could not be reached for comment...

**To all my liberal friends who think this is in bad taste, remember these names: Richard Nixon--Charlton Heston--Ronald Reagan
