America's Most Liberal & Conservative Cities Are?
A nationwide study released Thursday by the non-partisan Bay Area Center for Voting Research in Berkeley, California, based on the 2004 election, has ranked America's most liberal and Conservative cities. Seattle, once the most liberal city in the States has been replaced by America's newest shining star, Detoilet:It found that Detroit was the most liberal and Gary, Ind., ranked second. Berkeley ranked third.Congratulations, Detroit, you certainly deserve everything that goes along with being the most liberal city in America: Low taxes, good government, low crime rate, low unemployment. You definitely have it all.
Seattle? Waaay down in 16th place.
As for the most Conservative city in America?
At the other end of the spectrum, heavily Mormon, lily-white Provo, Utah, was America's most conservative city -- that is, it's 237th most liberal on a list of 237.Thank goodness the *journalist* for this piece went to the pain to describe America's most Conservative city as lily-white and heavily Mormon. Hell, they aren't even your typical whites in Provo, they're lily white. For a moment, I was nearly under the impression that Provo was just your run-of-the-mill, normal city. I'm glad the journalist cleared that up for me. In case you're having trouble reading between the lines, Conservatives = white, religious nutjobs.
Unlike Detroit, where the sun always shines, the temperature always stays pat at 78 degrees, and love and good tidings fill the utopian air.
Make yourself sick and read the whole list
