Seven Year Old Shot 6 Times Trying To Save Mom

A seven year old girl is in stable condition after being shot six times by her baby mommas ex-boyfriend.

The rather grizzly story unfolded like this: Baby momma asked her friend if she could pick her and her daughter up and stay the night, as baby momma had her heat turned off. When the friend arrived, the group came out of the house and the perp was there waiting with a gun. He ordered them all in the car and told them to go to Six Mile Road. The non-baby momma knew if they went to Six Mile they would all die, so she told the perp that she needed gas.

They got to the gas station and the perp gives her $5 for gas. She puts in the fiver and goes to pay. On the way to pay she dials 911, but the attendant tells her they don't have a car in the neighbourhood. I'll let the article explain the rest:

"I told him I needed more gas and took money out of my purse and went back into the station," she said. The attendant, Mohammad Alghazali, 30, said he noticed Ford was crying and she told him what was happening. He called 911 as he heard shots coming from the vehicle.

"It was very scary. She (Ford) was scared and screaming when the guy was shooting. I was scared, too. I was on the phone talking to the police when he started shooting," he said

Parker told police that Tillie said Ford was taking too long.

She said she pleaded with him but he pointed the gun at her and shot her in the side of the head. She told police she was shot in the arm as she lunged at Tillie.

Before Tillie could fire again, Alexis jumped over the seat between her mother and the gunman and begged him not to shoot her mother.

The police report said Tillie "without hesitation" pumped six shots into the child.

As police arrived, they saw Parker, covered in blood, running from the truck, screaming, "He just shot my baby."

The officers said Tillie came out to the vehicle holding a blue steel 9 mm semi automatic and dropped the weapon when ordered to do so. Officers said they found Alexis huddled on the floor under the steering wheel, covered in blood, surrounded by spent cartridge casings, a spent bullet on the floor and teeth on the seat. There were bullet holes in the windshield and blood inside.

Alghazali said a police car on a street nearby arrived in less than a minute after his call.

One more thing needs to be mentioned here:

Police identified him as Calvin Tillie, 29, a four-time convicted felon whom Parker had dated for six months.

I feel for the child, naturally, this is a horrible thing for the little girl to go through. I can hardly imagine the fear that went through the little darlings mind. However, a word or two needs to be said about the baby momma.

I understand that Six Mile Road is a terrible area, I get that part. I understand that baby momma is poor and all, but I can't get over why she dated a slug with FOUR previous convictions. Who in their right mind would invite another human into their house, knowing they are violent and have had four convictions? Who in their right mind would knowingly subject their child to this kind of vermin? C'mon now, she dated this treasure for SIX months.

That child should be taken away from baby momma at the earliest instance. Baby momma may be poor, but that doesn't mean baby momma is an idiot with no regard to her child's safety. Or, if it does mean that and I'm reading it all wrong, they should take the child away from baby momma for those very reasons I just mentioned.

We hear on a daily basis that we need to protect the children. Well, here's an opportunity to protect a child. Get this child the protection she needs, get her out of the grip of baby momma and into a loving home.

The child deserves better than this
