Can You Help?

Fenris and I were working the soup kitchen in downtown Mitchieville last night when I decided to take a break and check my email through my Blackberry. I'm glad I did. I received an email so sad, so terribly sad, that I decided to share it with you, just on an off chance that we can help this poor, unfortunate man:

Hello Friend,

It is indeed my pleasure to write you this letter, which I believe will be
a surprise to you as we have never met before, and I am deeply sorry if
I have in any manner disturbed your privacy. Please forgive this unusual
manner of contacting you. My name is Wahidu Adada, A Bahraini national. I have been
diagnosed with Oesophageal cancer .It has defied all forms of medical treatment,
and rightnow I have only about a few months to live, according to medical experts.

I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared for
anyone(not even myself)but my business. Though I am very rich, I was never
generous, I was always hostile to people and only focused on my business as
that was the only thing I cared for. But now I regret all this as I now know
that there is more to life than just wanting to have or make all the money
in the world. I believe when God gives me a second chance to come to this
world I would live my life a different way from how I have lived it. Now
that God has called me, I have willed and given most of my property and assets to my immediate and extended family members as well as a few
close friends .I want God to be merciful to me and accept my soul so, I have
decided to give alms to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of
the last good deeds I do on earth. So far, I have Distributed money to
somecharity organizations in the U.A.E, Somalia and Malaysia.

Even though this gentleman has not led the most well-intentioned life possible, he wants to make amends. You'll have to excuse me for a minute, I need to go blow my nose, I'm welling up.

Now that my health
has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this myself anymore. I once asked
members of my family to close one of my accounts and distribute the money
which I have there to charity organization in Bulgaria and Pakistan, they
refused and kept the money to themselves. Hence, I do not trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contended with what I have leftfor them. The last of my money which no one knows of is the huge cash deposit of four
Million dollars($4,000,000,00) that I have with a finance House abroad. I
will want you to help me collect this deposit and dispatch it to charity organizations.

N/B:KINDLY NOTE THAT 80% of this funds must go to victims of recent disasters and another 20% for your effort and time. Upon receipt of your response, I shall communicate with you, and let you know the details of the transfer.

Whatever your actions and your decision, I thank you for taking the
time to read this email.

As caring Mitchievillians, we have a duty to help this poor soul. Here is what I suggest: Send him all your banking information. Do whatever it takes to make this dying man happy, you know he would do it for you. Spare no expense, send him whatever he needs. If you have to take out a second mortgage on your home, just do it, money should be no object.

This gentle soul is even offering to give you $800,000 for a simple transaction, I think this is more than fair. But we aren't just about the money, are we? We are all God's creatures, we are put on this earth to help, not destroy. Think of it this way, if Jesus was still on the earth (never mind the fact that he'd be 2006 years old and looking like complete shit, get that out of your head for a minute), and he checked his email and received this, what do you think he would do? That's right, Jesus would give this man all his banking information.

You too can be like Jesus, just contact this man and follow his instructions. We have been given a great gift, now let's all band together and help.
