London Calling

Congratulations to the London Knights, winners of the Memorial Cup. For those of you not in the know, the Memorial Cup is the Canadian junior hockey championship.

Not only did the London Knights beat the Rimouski Oceanics, they managed to make Rimouski their bitches. To the victor.....

To my wonderful American readership, hockey is a game played on ice with a puck.

The win for the Knights was fantastic for many reasons, the biggest one is that London hasn't won a Memorial Cup in 40 years. This season though, London set all kinds of records, they were in a league of their own, they completely dominated.

It's brilliant to see an OHL club win the Cup, what a great team they had on the ice this year.

We might even have to change the name of Dave and Lisa's site to The London Knights Fog .

Unfortunately something occurred to me that I must have missed before, Sidney Crosby is a bad loser. He's a suck, a whiner, a diver, and that's sad. For a guy who is soon to be the best player in professional hockey (when those slackers decide to show up for work again), he sure didn't show much class in defeat. Oh well, sucks to be him.

Once again, congratulations to the London Knights, and congratulations to the great fans in London who supported the tourney. I'm so happy you got the win on home ice.

Next year though, the Oshawa Generals are going to eat you for dinner.
