Astrology and Details
I began my study of Astrology in the summer before I left home for college. It was a quiet summer ... I watched I,Claudius, read books, and was generally unbothered by my parents who were caught up in yet another crisis involving my older brother, an Aries, who was a constant center of attention that kept the hated spotlight of attention off my questionable researches into things occult.
At college, I had access to a huge library. Most of the books were introductory level pulp. Endless cookbooks about star signs, but there were a good three feet of detailed works which consumed my attention. They acted as a gateway into other areas of interest, such as the history of the ancients, the renaissance, and the church fathers.
By my second year of college, I had made contact with the astrological wise man of the town. I was invited to dinners and elegant parties where charts were read and wine guzzled. Inevitably, the matrons turned their interest in the occult into more fleshy interests. My astrological patron was a kept man, who moved from drawing room to bedroom with a practiced grace and charm. Nonetheless, his ability to predict the future and read personalities was no sham.
Like him, I cast charts and entertained the matrons, but I also made quiet observations and hence refined my ability to tell the future.
I shall share with you my observations to date.
The Moon in the horoscope inevitably shows the mother. If the moon is afflicted, so too is the mothers influence on the native afflicted. There is no sugar coating to this fact. So, the astute astrologer simply does not tell the whole truth. He is part entertainer (possibly sex toy as well) and the details of Mom's madness or fondness for drink or valium or the postman or sapphic women or gambling just cuts into the profits and sex play. But, I will spill my secrets here. One of the principles of the occult arts is that those who are not ready for a secret cannot comprehend it, even if it is presented to them. This is true.
The Moon is afflicted in the following signs: Virgo, Scorpio, and Capricorn. Anyone with their moon in these signs carries the burden of an evil mother. These women do not conform to the image of the nurturing mother ... for good reason. They do not nurture! There are three species:
Moon in Virgo: The mother is a viscious critic, who finds non-existing faults and gripes, nags, and complains. While the native becomes a master of details, it is not a pleasant experience.
Moon in Scorpio: The mother harbors un-natural affection for her child. She uses the child for gratification and gladly will sacrifice the child for her transitory ambitions. Inevitably, the native learns suspicion and the darker arts of vengence.
Moon in Capricorn: The mother uses the child to further her ambitions, but without the sexual taint of the scorpio moon. The native soon learns excellent work habits and questionable morality to obtain his ends, but at the foot of this ruthless and selfish woman.
After we observe the afflicted moon, we now look for aspects from the malefic planets in the chart. Saturn and Mars are the worst influences to the moon, but Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune all have their unique form of degeneracy to add to the mix.
Pluto is a magnification of the Scorpio Moon situation. Sexual exploitation and the profiting from misery is indicated.
Uranus brings excentric behaviour and hurtful genius. Hopefully, the life of this twisted influence is cut short by an accident. Mom is unfaithful and the child suffers thereby. This is a Magnification of the Moon in Capricorn situation.
Neptune makes drug addicts. Mother is inevitably under the influence of quacks and gobbles down pills and potions. This is a magnification of the Moon in Virgo situation.
Example: The native has Moon in Scorpio, with a conjuction to Neptune. Here the Mother uses the child as a fill in for the father who was absent on business for lengths of time. Mother not only used the child for a replacement for the father, but also used the child as a target for her anger at the father. Certainly no poster girl for nuturing was mom. The conjuction brings in madness, and the mother of the native soon was under the spell of pill dispensing doctors who kept her topped up on the latest tranquilizer. Nonetheless, the mother taught lessons in emotional cruelty, revenge, and treachery to her child. The child advances into adulthood with superior talents in observing human nature ... a survival skill when dealing with this Borgia Mother. He also is well practiced in patience and intrigue, as he was the victim in his youth, he soon turns to predator in his adult years. The Neptune aspect makes him wary and fearful of drugs, doctors, and quite adept at spotting treachery.
There are further variants as you add in other planets, consider the effect of houses, and balance off the effects of transits.
Also, good and evil effects can have good and evil results. A studious mind (a good Mercury, say) could be quite turned to the evils of fraud and forgery with this position; whereas a serious mind (normally considered a bad thing; caused by a Saturn Mercury aspect, say) can turn the corrupt and vengeful native (here) into a somewhat pious individual.
As an afterthought, I wish to fire a salvo into those false astrologers that whore after asteroids and use bizarre mathematical parts for prediction. While it is a good way to make money, it is so much toilet paper. Look no further than Saturn for your burden in life. Once you have mastery of your Saturn you have ... mastery. This is reflected in the teachings of the alchemists. When your hired astrologer starts to move his lips around asteroids and parts, look to your wallet. It will be missing.
