Week 4 Football

A three way tie occured in week 3 between RyCrisp, Mr. Slag and myself. Mr. Slag, BTW, did a great job making up a chart for all of us, and I want to thank him for all his hard work.

This week Girl in guys clothing is in on the action, so now we have a prety face to look at. GIGC is Chris Stange's better half, so be nice to her, even when you see that she went 0-13.

**Laurel says: I really want to preface this by saying that comparitively I don't know a damn thing about football, but I think it's fun. Football is the perfect excuse to stay inside all day each Sunday doing some of my favorite things....and now that I understand the (very) basics of the game the sport has opened a whole new world up to me. It doesn't hurt that I seem to have some kind of horseshoe stuck up an orifice that means I can normally pick the bulk of the winners. Happy Gambling! Also, I have to ask who is who, cause I don't know most of the names of the teams....only the cities....so bear with me.

Ravens/Jets
GIGC--The "Interception King" is back. Lucky for u Jets fans. NOT!! Curtis Martin not too healthy. I'll take Baltimore to win.

The Mayor--I'll take Baltimore. I'm so confident that they'll win, that if I'm wrong, you can all kick DigSauce in the balls.

Laurel--Baltimore. Cause it sounds like a tough city.

Saints/Bills
GIGC--Those of u that know me, u don't even have to ask. But for logical reasons, who are the Bills anyway???

The Mayor--Hot damn, I always pick the Bills, and they never fail to let me down. This week they won't let me down. Yay Bills, boo troglodites.

Laurel--Buffalo. Easy! Even though I don't know much about football I'm not completely without a clue.

Colts/Titans
GIGC--Look to McNair to show us what he's really made of this weekend. Indy didn't have one single offensive touchdown last weekend. I guess they picked up some defense after all. Titans win.

The Mayor--Wrong GIGC, Indy wins by close to 700 points this week.

Laurel--Indianapolis. Cause it's hard to spell.

Broncos/Jags
GIGC--Yes, Monday night was a good showing for Denver, but they're not the team they used to be. Jacksonville at home.

The Mayor--Denver embarrassed me last week by winning, they won't do that again. Jacksonville wins.

Laurel--Jacksonville. Cause if I had a dick they'd make me hard.

Lions/Bucs
GIGC--Tampa - no question.

The Mayor--Tampa wins, but it will be very close. Or not.

Laurel--Tampa. Detroit has some pretty ugly uniforms happening.

Texans/Bengals
GIGC--Another team displaced, if only for a short time. Any other year I would still go with Texans. But it looks like Palmer has really lit a fire under Cinci's ass.

The Mayor--Bengals. I just love the thought that Cincinn. could go 4-0.

Laurel--Cincinnati. They make me wet because it sounds like *sin city*.

Chargers/New England
GIGC--I think it may be a close one, but the Pats have the right stuff.

The Mayor--New England big time. The Chargers will fold faster than my dry cleaner.

Laurel--New England. They have that guy who is completely hubba hubba fuck. Yummy.

Seahawks/Redskins
GIGC--It's a hunch with nothing to back it up. I just feel every few games, Seattle comes thru. They won last week, they lose this week. Skins.

The Mayor--I'll take the Seahawks to scalp the Skins.

Laurel--I really have no idea. How about Seattle?

Rams/Giants
GIGC--Giants

The Mayor--The Rams

Laurel--St. Louis. My aunt lives there and she would kill me otherwise. She used to sleep with the kicking guy.

Cowboys/Raiders
GIGC--With Randy Moss in Oakland, they'll kick Dallas' American Ass. Dallas should just quit. Last in NFC East, they should stay there.

The Mayor--Oakland wins their first game of the year, then the city gets flooded and they have to play in San Francisco.

Laurel--Oakland. Cowboys are not my cup of tea. Their music is waaaaay to whiny.

Eagles/Chiefs
GIGC--Did ya see that winning field goal last week? OMG - I could feel the pain in Aker's hamstring right thru the TV. Personally, I believe this will be one of the best games to watch this week. It'll be close, but KC, and when I say KC, i mean Priest Holmes, is going to shine.

The Mayor--I hate this game. I know I should be picking the Beagles, but I'm not going to. I'll let K.C. let me down for one more week.

Laurel--Kansas. Dorothy wants to go home.

Vikings/Falcons
GIGC--Minny put on a good show last week, but Daunte's go-to guy, Burleson is out and Vick is healthy again. Even though Minny's improved defensively, they're not gonna stop Michael.

The Mayor--The Falcons will win. No doot aboot it.

Laurel--Minnesota. Purple is pretty.

49ers/Cards
GIGC--The only reason Arizona has a slight chance of winning, Warner's not travelling with his team to Mexico. i actually feel sorry for the people that are paying to see these 2 teams. Couldn't the NFL send a better representation of the league to a foreign country? I'm flipping a coin on this one...I'll take the 49'ers.

The Mayor--Arizona always plays San Fran. tough. Arizona hates San Fran., even more than God does. Believe it or not, I'm taking Arizona.

Laurel--San Francisco treat, baby. Not. Arizona takes it. Hard.

Monday -
GIGC--Packs/Panthers
The last time I remember seeing Brett Favre play on Monday night, was last year, the day after his father died. Game of his friggin' life. 472 yards passing, what a display!! Unfortunately, the only chance that GB has of winning this week, if another one of Brett's family members has a tragic accident. Sad but true!!

The Mayor--The Panthers will win and Favre will cry. And then I'll laugh.

Laurel--I loooooooove Green Bay. Don't know why, but I do. Even I, however, know that they have about as much chance of winning this game as I do of coming off as educated in this sport. Carolina takes it. In the ass too!
