Alabama Blacks Ride the Short Bus
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Northwest Alabama perform a play, "Get on The Bus," about the life of Rosa Parks on Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Florence.

It was a tough choice which play to choose from, it was between this and, "Kill the White Devil". In a way I'm glad they chose Rosa's story.
All that money the Alabama Educational Department is sinking into reading, and this is what they get.

Kadejia Cheatom got a glimpse into the life of Rosa Parks when she played the part of the civil rights icon in a play Thursday. What the hell is wrong with those people in the middle of the bus, it clearly says it's for Whites only.
"It really touched me because I wouldn't have been brave enough to stand up and do that," said Cheatom, a 12-year-old member of the Boys and Girls Club.
She and her sister, Kabreshia Cheatom, 10, and other local Boys and Girls Club members took part in a dramatic interpretation of the historical Rosa Parks bus boycott of 1955.
