Gimme that old time Religion

A few years ago, I asked Fenris to find a solution to stop young vandals from defacing our beautiful town with graffiti. Fenris issued a report a few days later and one of his suggestions that we immediately implemented was sending these young offenders to the Schicklegruber Institute of Re-Education.

Since the first batch of punks were sent packing to the Schicklegruber, not one incidence of vandalism has been reported in our fair town.

It seems though that the Mayor of Las Vegas has another idea to stop criminals from tagging his city, an idea that would certainly work:
RENO, Nevada (AP) -- The mayor of Las Vegas has suggested that people who deface freeways with graffiti should have their thumbs cut off on television.

"I'm saying maybe you put them on TV and cut off a thumb," the mayor said. "That may be the right thing to do."

Goodman also suggested whippings should be brought back for children who get into trouble.
Yes indeed, the old school approach.

If watching vandals get their thumbs cut off was a pay-per-view event, I'd certainly invest the $29.95 to see it.

Not everyone agrees with Goodman though. In what can only be described as one fine insult, Howard Rosenberg responded with this:
cutting off the thumbs of taggers won't solve the problem and Goodman should "use his head for something other than a hat rack."
Pretty funny. I bet you Goodman wants to cut off Rosenberg's tongue for that comment.
